This was a  Patient Educator conference conducted with Overlook Hospital on October 20th.
4 Patient Educators spoke, in addition to 3 physicians.

This conference offered a novel opportunity to hear patients describe their experience with breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery; while physician experts provided state of the art reviews of the issues raised.

Presenters  included breast health physicians, as well as breast cancer survivors from Pathways, a Summit-based organization for women with breast and ovarian cancer.

The goal of the conference was to provide unique insights about breast cancer by integrating patient and physician perspectives.

Our hope was to fill the auditorium at Overlook - the conference was open to patients, families, survivors and professionals alike - It was a great opportunity to hear and support our Patient Educators as they presented their stories overlaid with physician perspectives.
